Background Started in enterprise security. From 2006 to 2017 at Dimension Data, now NTT, he managed a vendor portfolio worth more than $8 million a year in renewals, including Check Point, Juniper, McAfee, Radware and Cisco security licensing, holding vendors to their SLAs and advising on renewals. Then US Navy port visit planning at Toll and data migration work for the Australian Department of Defence. From 2022 he led cloud engineering at Fifth Domain, a cybersecurity company: moved the platform from GCP and VMware to AWS, built cybersecurity challenge infrastructure, adversarial labs and red-team environments, and took the company through the AWS Foundational Technical Review to partner status. He has kept building infrastructure and tools for cybersecurity startups since. As companies adopted AI, the work moved with them: AI strategy, testing the security of AI agents, and building the systems those agents run on. Observ is the pentesting service for web applications and AI agents. He runs AI education events, AI company knowledge base training, and security training.
